UCLA chapter of Amnesty International to protest practices at Guantanamo Bay

Jan. 9, 2011 “”mdash; This Wednesday marks the 10th anniversary of Guantanamo Bay’s opening as a detention center. Amnesty International chapters nationwide are protesting against the practices they have deemed unlawful and unjust. The UCLA chapter will be in Bruin Plaza. Fourth-year sociology student and UCLA Amnesty International Chief of Staff Amy Chen discusses the goals of the protest and its featured flash mob.
