UCLA, along with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and the Cancer Research Program at the Mattel Children’s Hospital, held its 11th annual Dribble for the Cure on Sunday. John Vallely, a former UCLA men’s basketball player under coach John Wooden, started the event in 2008. This year’s Dribble was also a celebration of what would have been Wooden’s 108th birthday. The event raised money to go toward research and treatment for children fighting cancer.
