Poet Wanda Coleman’s papers will now be publicly available at the UCLA Library Special Collections. The Charles E. Young Research Library held a reception for the collection Thursday, featuring writers such as Tisa Bryant, Harryette Mullen and Austin Straus, Coleman’s husband. Coleman wrote short stories, novels, nonfiction plays and scripts for film and television. She also won an Emmy for her work on “Days of Our Lives” in 1976. The Wanda Coleman Papers were processed in the Center for Primary Research and Training by Kim Calder, a doctoral candidate in the English department.
