University police are looking for a man who grabbed a UCLA student from behind late Sunday near the corner of Gayley and Landfair avenues.
The man slapped and squeezed the student’s buttocks as she walked to the intersection about 11:25 p.m. Sunday, according to a UCPD statement. The student screamed, and the man ran south on Gayley Avenue and out of sight.
The man was described as about 20 to 25 years old, Hispanic or Middle Eastern with a dark skin tone, 6 feet tall and heavyset. He had short dark brown hair and was clean-shaven with wide eyes, police said.
Police said the man was wearing a gray-and-orange zip-up hooded sweatshirt and gray basketball shorts.
No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.
