A UCLA distinguished professor of microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics and her husband, a UCLA Anderson School of Management professor emeritus, recently donated $10 million to the business school to establish a new marketing research center.
Donald and Sherie Morrison’s donation will be used to launch the Morrison Family Center for Marketing Studies and Data Analytics, which will focus on consumer markets and behaviors, according to a School of Management press release.
Sherie Morrison developed an antibody technology that is used to treat diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
“Don and Sherie are star members of the UCLA community,” Judy Olian, dean of the School of Management, said in the statement. “Their vision for the Morrison Family Center for Marketing Studies and Data Analytics is inspiring and bold.”
The couple have made several donations to UCLA in the past, including in the areas of athletics and biomedical sciences.
