Karsta Lowe entered the final week of her volleyball career on Friday. Over the course of a weekend in which UCLA women’s volleyball met two Pac-12 title contenders, the senior outside hitter proved she isn’t ready to hang up the blue and gold just yet.

With three teams tied for fourth place in the Pac-12 heading into the weekend, the Bruins were fighting to extend their play into the postseason with matchups against the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers.

No. 17 UCLA (19-10, 10-8 Pac-12) fell to No. 14 Oregon (21-7, 11-7) in a highly contested three-set sweep that saw Lowe score a match-high 22 kills, ranking her 19th all-time for the Bruins in career kills and adding to her growing list of accolades.

Lowe consistently paced UCLA’s offense throughout her senior season, with Saturday’s matchup against Oregon State (18-11, 8-10) proving no exception. Leading the team with 20 kills to go along with 10 digs, the senior notched her eighth career double-double – one of six this season – in a four-set win over the Beavers.

The rest of the Bruins followed Lowe’s lead as four players earned double-digit digs, led by junior Karly Drolson’s 20 – a season high for the libero.

UCLA will continue competing on the road as it heads to Arizona State on Wednesday for its final away game before returning to Pauley Pavilion on Friday to take on USC for Senior Night.
