ASUCLA Finance Committee recap – Oct. 24

Members of the Associated Students UCLA Finance Committee and the Communications Board discussed the association’s finances and possible models for UCLA Student Media at their monthly meeting Friday.

The Communications Board is an independent subdivision of ASUCLA that oversees Student Media, including the Daily Bruin, BruinLife yearbook, UCLA Radio and seven newsmagazines.

  • ASUCLA executive director Robert Williams said computer sales have increased in the UCLA store after the computer store expanded last year.
  • The Music Café in the Evelyn and Mo Ostin Music Center is now open for students.
  • Members of the Finance Committee and the Communications Board discussed alternate operating models and examined the structure of Student Media. No final decisions were made.
