Students who wanted to try out a new computer were able to borrow a Google Chromebook laptop for free this week on campus.
As part of Google’s new Chromebook Lending Library program, a site for students to check out the Chromebook line of laptop computers will be on campus until Friday. The Chromebook Lending Library allowed students to check out and use the laptops for free for a few days, during which they had full access to all built-in Google apps and programs.
The lending library is stopping at 12 colleges this fall for a few days each. Students who borrow a Chromebook must return it to the lending library before it leaves campus.
Google will have the lending library at a booth at Wilson Plaza until 4 p.m.
