Redshirt junior quarterback Brett Hundley and junior cornerback Ishmael Adams made the headlines for their performances against Arizona State last Thursday, and redshirt senior inside linebacker Eric Kendricks earned some recognition of his own on Tuesday.

Kendricks was named the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week after recording 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry. His 10 tackles tied for a team-high for the game with freshman safety Jaleel Wadood. Kendricks’ fumble recovery led to a field goal for UCLA’s first points of the game.

In recognition of Kendricks’ Player of the Week honors, The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation will donate $1,000 to UCLA’s general scholarship fund.

This was the second time Kendricks has been been named Lott IMPACT Player of the Week, also winning the honors after the season’s first game in which he had 16 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception returned for a touchdown.

Prior to the season, Kendricks, along with sophomore linebacker Myles Jack, was named to the watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, an award given to the nation’s top defensive player who also exhibits character. UCLA outside linebacker Anthony Barr won the award last season.
