UCLA men’s basketball’s Jonah Bolden ruled ineligible for season

Already without its top-two players from last season, UCLA men’s basketball’s hopes to defend its Pac-12 tournament title just took a hit, as four-star freshman forward Jonah Bolden was ruled academically ineligible for the season, according to ESPN.

Bolden was deemed ineligible because he transferred from his school in Australia to Findlay Prep of the Henderson International School in Las Vegas after his senior season had already started.

Without Bolden, UCLA still adds several talented players to its rotation this year, headlined by five-star freshman forward Kevon Looney, who was recently ranked No. 8 on ESPN NBA draft analyst Chad Ford’s 2015 Big Board. Also entering the fold are sophomore guard Isaac Hamilton and four-star freshman center Thomas Welsh.
