More than 100 student groups and other campus departments will fill Bruin and Wilson Plazas Thursday to showcase their organizations at UCLA’s first Spring Activities Fair.

The Spring Activities Fair, an event hosted by the Undergraduate Students Association Council, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bruin Plaza and Wilson Plaza. The event will also feature student group performances and include food sales.

Though the Campus Events Commission and the Cultural Affairs Commission put on an activities fair during fall quarter, the Internal Vice President’s Office decided to hold another event during spring so student groups formed later in the school year could also participate, said Avi Oved, the USAC Internal Vice President.

Oved said he wanted new student organizations to have the opportunity to recruit members at the fair and for students to learn about the different groups they can join.

“This event will create more opportunities for new students to integrate themselves into student life,” Oved said.

Clarification: The Internal Vice President’s Office organized the Spring Activities Fair.
