The UCLA Athletic Department received a $1-million donation in the form of an endowment from alumnus David Dollinger, the department announced Tuesday.
The donation, the second of its amount to UCLA Athletics this year, will create a fund in Dollinger’s name and is part of the Forever Champions Endowment Campaign.
While at UCLA, Dollinger was part of the rugby and rowing teams before graduating in 1986.
“Participating in intercollegiate athletics at UCLA helped to make my undergraduate years incredibly fulfilling. I am hopeful that this gift will allow others to enjoy that same experience,” Dollinger said in a statement.
