The Undergraduate Students Association Council is the official student government of UCLA’s undergraduate students. Council meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Kerckhoff 417 and are open to all students.

Several members of Students for Justice in Palestine spoke about changes the group has made to a resolution it plans to bring to council next week. Group representatives also gave a presentation about the resolution, which would call for divestment from certain companies.

A student representative from Bruins for Israel gave a presentation about the negative effects of divestment. Group members said they think divestment is harmful to Israel and threatens the security of their family members who live in the West Bank region.

UCLA Transportation presented to council members about a proposed increase in student parking permits for next year.

USAC unanimously voted to approve the guidelines for USACLive!, a new live streaming feature for USAC meetings to allow individuals to watch the meetings when they cannot attend them in person.

The council voted unanimously to approve Student Organizations Operational Fund allocations for winter quarter.

The council unanimously voted to appoint Joshua Zelman, a fourth-year philosophy student, to the USAC Judicial Board.

USAC President John Joanino said he spoke with Gov. Jerry Brown Tuesday about reforming Proposition 13.

USAC External Vice President Maryssa Hall said her office will continue to participate in efforts to reform Proposition 13 along with the Fund the UC campaign.

USAC Academic Affairs Commissioner Darren Ramalho said his office hopes to get the results of surveys about online education soon.
