Hanging from a fence in the abandoned lot across from In-N-Out Burger, an intricate collage of black-and-white ink drawings forms a bird with a cardboard cutout reading a single word: love. The artwork was created by Gino Burman-Loffredo, a 31-year-old L.A. resident who now makes positive street art to display on fences around the city. “People love positive art,” Burman-Loffredo said. He creates this art as a counter to the negative billboards people are forced to see and as a distraction from the one-track lives that many students lead. Watch to discover the story behind his hashtag “#heallosangeles” and how this artist believes that positive street art can help our community.

  1. So inspiring. I’ve seen his art around town and always wondered who the mastermind behind it was. Seems like such a down to earth, talented guy that opens up our eyes to positive things!
