The Wilshire Boulevard off-ramp leading west from the southbound 405 Freeway will close for two weeks starting 8 p.m. today.
The existing ramp will be demolished and a new ramp will be constructed in its place, according to a Metro press release. Metro officials advise motorists to adjust travel times or share rides with others.
Commuters trying to get to Wilshire Boulevard can instead take the Santa Monica Boulevard exit, which is going to be designated as a detour. Traffic control officers will be on surface streets to minimize traffic congestion, according to Metro.
The ramp will re-open 6 a.m. on Friday, March 22.
