Speaks Out: Advice for the new quarter

The Daily Bruin asked students what advice they have to tackle the beginning of the quarter and a new load of courses.

“There’s going to be more dedication required in the first week or two. Talk to the professors, talk to people in your class, see if you can form some sort of network or study group.”

“I kind of have a weird routine. For my major, I always survey what classes I want to take for that quarter. So I go to a ton of classes the first week and then I drop out (of) what I don’t want to take.”

“You go and attend a lot of classes to find out what classes you want to enroll into. I have this huge energy at the beginning of the quarter, to learn new subjects, new courses, something new.”
