UCLA falls to Baylor 49-26 in Holiday Bowl

After an 9-2 start to the regular season, the No. 17 UCLA Bruins ended their first year under coach Jim Mora with a three-game losing streak capped off by a 49-26 drubbing by the Baylor Bears in the Holiday Bowl.

UCLA was supposed to be the home team, as the game was played just two hours from Westwood, but the Bruins were outmatched on every level by the Bears, who jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back.

Baylor quarterback Nick Florence threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns on 10/13 passing while the Bears racked up 494 yards on the ground. UCLA gave up six sacks to a defense that had only 13 on the season going into the game.UCLA ended the season at 9-5 overall.
