UCLA leads Long Beach State 47-38 at the end of the first half.
The Bruins got off to their hottest start of the season against the 49ers, beginning the game 15 for 21 from the field. However, UCLA missed its next eight field goals and ended the half shooting 54.5 percent from the field.
Freshman guard Jordan Adams leads all players with 16 points, going 2-3 from behind the arc in the first half.
Long Beach State was 15 for 29 through the first half. Guard/forward James Ennis led the 49ers with 13 points and 2 blocks.
