Playing in Pauley for the first time since its renovation, the UCLA men’s basketball team looked shaky under the spotlight in the first half of Friday’s game.
The Bruins were underwhelming in the first 20 minutes of the much anticipated season opener, committing nine turnovers and shooting 42.3% from the field.
Despite the many mistakes, UCLA leads Indiana State 36-27 at the half in front of a sold-out crowd. The Bruins went on an 8-0 run near the end of the half to surge ahead.
All nine eligible scholarship players saw time in the first half. Freshman guard Jordan Adams leads the team with nine points and six rebounds.
