UCLA takes first in Pac-12 South with 66-10 win over Arizona

UCLA took a 66-10 win over Arizona on Friday night, putting the team in first place in the Pac-12 South.

The Bruins scored nine touchdowns in the victory, limiting the Wildcats to just one touchdown and a field goal.

Early in the game, Johnathan Franklin broke UCLA’s all-time rushing yards record, knocking Gaston Green off the top of the list. He had 162 yards in the game, and raised his career total to 3,873.

UCLA amassed 611 yards overall in the win, in stark opposition to Arizona’s 257.

Arizona quarterback Matt Scott left the game in the third quarter after he was visibly shaken up. It was the second game in a row that Scott has had to leave early, after an injury against USC last weekend.

The Bruins’ only remaining Pac-12 South opponent is USC, who dropped in the standings with a loss to Oregon Friday afternoon.
