Halloween feature: Bruins tell stories of specters and spooks (audio)

The original description for a radio story attached to this article contained an error and has been changed. See the bottom of the article for additional information.

Stories of the frightening and supernatural are as much a part of Halloween as costumes and pumpkin-carving. The Daily Bruin collected a series of spooky, unsettling, strange or simply Halloween- and folklore-related stories from UCLA students and faculty. The stories range from the creatures that haunt the forests of the Philippines, to a spooky moment in the basement of UCLA’s Macgowan Hall, to the legend of a ghost in Royce Hall. Listen to them in the days leading up to Halloween, preferably at night.

Are all of the stories true? We’ll let you decide.
