News and notes heading into week six:
- Kai Forbath, winner of the 2009 Lou Groza Award, will get his chance to break into the NFL this weekend after the Redskins signed the former Bruin to replace kicker Billy Cundiff, who was cut.
- Maurice Jones-Drew made a return to his old stomping grounds this week. The former UCLA running back attended Thursday’s practice as well as the game against Utah.
- After playing Thursday, Akeem Ayers had totaled 56 tackles on the season, which currently leads the entire NFL.
