News and notes heading into week four:

  • Khalil Bell saw a good amount of action in his first game of the season. Bell, who stepped in for the injured Matt Forte, had 10 carries for 20 yards and one catch for 11 yards against the St. Louis Rams.
  • Holding out of training camp seems to have had no effect on Maurice Jones-Drew, who is third in the NFL in rushing yards with 314. In a recent issue of Sports Illustrated, Jones-Drew attributed his early-season success to his film study habits in place of on-the-field practice, saying, “I didn’t get any physical reps, but I got mental reps.”
  • Rahim Moore had his best game of the season in the Broncos’ loss to the Texans. He registered nine solo tackles.
