Shah’s eligibility starts up this year after the Bruins lost two key players last season ““ Alex Kim, who graduated, and Patrick Cantlay, who went pro. After a successful summer of tournaments, Shah might get his chance to represent the Bruins on the course this year.

Willis has had quite the trans-national college experience. He has gone back and forth between North Carolina and UCLA before finally settling down with the Bruins for his sophomore season. He saw no game time in his first year as a Bruin, and served on the scout team during practices last season. This year, he hopes to make a heavier impact at defensive tackle.

Long Beach City College
Kerman comes to UCLA out of Long Beach City College where he was a highly touted freshman before a sophomore year that was limited by injury. Kerman redshirted the 2012 season and will look to compete for playing time this season with the Bruins’ many right-handed pitchers. Coming to UCLA is a homecoming of sorts for Kerman, who attended nearby Beverly Hills High School.

Tennessee and Brewer parted ways after her junior year was disrupted by injuries. She had lingering problems when she left the Lady Vols, but had a full year after transferring to acclimate herself. If she is able to play regularly, she will provide a necessary frontcourt presence for UCLA.

Hartnell College
Estrada joins UCLA after two years at Hartnell College in Salinas. Although he hasn’t been a regular starter, he has scored a couple of game-winning goals for the Bruins. Soccer and UCLA run in the Estrada family ““ his older brother, David Estrada, played for the Bruins.

Drew left the Tar Heel program in the midst of the 2010-2011 season, and has been named the Bruins’ starting point guard this season. He joins a strong freshman class on the court in what might be UCLA basketball’s most-hyped season in years.
