Students can finally stop worrying; the Bruin Bash 2012 lineup has just been announced.
The night will be set in motion by Oakland-based rap group, Los Rakas. The Spanish-language group, known for its 2011 EP “Chancletas y Camisetas Bordada,” will be followed by New York-based rock band, Ra Ra Riot, which is known for indie hits like “Dying is Fine” and “Can You Tell.”
Closing the concert is Chiddy Bang, a hip-hop group comprised of Chidera “Chiddy” Anamege and Noah “Xaphoon Jones” Beresin. The group is known for its mixture of alternative hip-hop music, and has sampled from bands such as Radiohead and MGMT.
The annual Bruin Bash concert will take place in Drake Stadium on Sept. 23. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert starts at 8 p.m.
At 11 p.m., students can catch a screening of the film, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” which will include a Q&A after the movie with author Stephen Chbosky, as well as surprise cast members.
Wristband distribution for the film starts at 9 p.m. outside of Ackerman Grand Ballroom.
