College students looking to save money on textbooks can now turn to a new service offered by Amazon.com.
The popular online retailer announced a new textbook rental program on Tuesday, joining retailers like eBay.com that already provide similar services.
Previously, students who bought textbooks on Amazon could sell them back to the company through a textbook buyback program.
Now, in the rental program, students can keep the books for up to 130 days, according to the Amazon website.
Starting September, the online retailer will also start collecting sales taxes on product sold in California, the Daily Bruin reported on Monday.
