UCPD looking for man connected to burglary from vehicle

University police are looking for a man who burglarized a car near the UCLA campus last week.

A car parked in a garage at 600 Kelton Ave. had its passenger window smashed early Saturday morning, police officials said. A wallet, including a debit card, was stolen from the car. At about 6:15 a.m. the same day, a man used the debit card from the stolen wallet at a Rite Aid drugstore in Santa Monica and was photographed through the store’s security camera, according to a police report released today. The man is believed to be connected to the burglary, the report stated.

The man is described in the report as 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt and baggy tan shorts with black shoes and a black baseball hat. He has light colored skin with tattoos on his arms down to his wrists and signed his signature with his left hand.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should call UCPD at (310) 825-1491.
