Then, Taylor Erickson previews Black Tent Theatre Company’s production of “The Hour of the Wolf.” This brand-new, student-run theatre group was founded this quarter. Erickson interviews the director of the play, Casey Holmberg, a second-year theater student, and one of the supporting actors, Jake Flatto, a second-year mathematics student on the vision they have for their program. The theater company will hold their performances in the parking lot of the Weyburn Terrace apartments off Gayley Avenue in Westwood Village Thursday through Sunday.
Afterward, third-year English student and accordionist Melinda West, who just performed last week with the Balkan Music Ensemble, will share a couple tunes on her accordion. As a musician, composer and active ensemble player, West shares with us the quirks of being an accordionist.
