May 7, 2012 – Long Story Short shares weird stories from the Internet, from national duck-calling scholarships to nude maid services and online dating for dogs. Then, artist, curator, and educator Kathy Brew talks about her exhibit “Going Gray”, which explores the cultural attitudes towards aging and the reasons for maintaining a youthful appearance. She will also make an appearance at the “Art of Aging” symposium this weekend at the Art | Sci Gallery, hosted by the UCLA Institute of Society and Genetics. And lastly, ASUCLA might be upgrading the caliber of dining options in Ackerman Union by installing a sit-down restaurant that would serve alcohol. While some recognize the financial benefits and the “classiness” of the restaurant, some are cautious about the inclusion of alcohol on a dry campus. Daily Bruin columnists Hayden Padgett and Charley Guptill iron out the pros and cons of this debate.
