UCLA placed sixth on the “Dream College” list released Tuesday by the Princeton Review, marking an improvement from seventh place last year.
The publication’s 2012 College Hopes and Worries Survey, which takes place annually, asked college applicants and their parents ““ about 11, 000 total respondents ““ to report on their expectations and experiences surrounding the college application process, according to the survey report.
The report has separate rankings for students’ and parents’ dream schools.
Among California colleges that placed on the students’ list, UCLA placed between Stanford University at second and the University of Southern California at tenth. Harvard University placed first.
In the same survey, 34 percent of college applicants said their biggest concern about applying to and attending college was getting into their first-choice college, but not having sufficient funds or financial aid to attend.
