California State University trustees will meet Wednesday to vote on a proposed 9 percent tuition increase, unless the state can provide an additional $138 million in funding, officials say.
According to the meeting’s agenda, increased funding is necessary to maintain class sections and student services. The total bill will increase by $498 for full-time undergraduate students if the proposal passes.
Earlier today, University of California officials announced the postponement of the UC Board of Regents meeting in response to police warnings of violent protests. No plans have been made to cancel the CSU meeting.
Representatives for CSU could not be reached for comment.
