Daily Bruin A&E caught up with some UCLA students and found out what they were listening to on the way to class.

Andrew Holloway
Second-year, psychology
Song: “Club Can’t Handle Me” by Flo Rida
“I’m not a huge fan of Flo Rida in particular, but whatever plays while I’m walking to class is something I usually like to listen to and today this was it.”

Dawn Suh
First-year, humanities
Song: “Love Shine” by Black Skirts
“I like his tone of voice and the beat. It’s Korean music and I have been listening to them for a long time now. They’re not that famous yet and I really like indie rock music.”

Brandon Matthews
Second-year, chemistry
Song: “February” by Casker
“It’s a mix of techno (and) house, and it’s (also) kind of jazzy. I like a variety of music genres and this isn’t necessarily a genre of music I like, but I really like the artist.”

Diana Nguyen
Second-year, mathematics
Song: “Without You” by AJ Rafael
“I really like the beat and the rhythm to the song. I really like that AJ’s music brings out his feelings in the lyrics and I really enjoy listening to his music because it’s easy to relate to.”

Hank Ouyang
Fifth-year, biology
Song: “The Cookout” by Chevywoods
“Chevywoods just released the mixtape and he’s friends with Wiz Khalifa. I’m a big fan of Wiz Khalifa and rap so I wanted to listen to it. So far it’s actually really good.”
