Stan Hasiak, a highly recruited offensive lineman in 2009, has been excused from UCLA for academic issues, adding to the Bruins’ offensive line woes.
Hasiak missed all of last season with academic issues and has a checkered past with the Bruin football program. He was suspended twice for violating team rules during his freshman season. After he was reinstated during that season, he missed game action for anger issues after fighting teammates at practice.
A release from the school said that Hasiak plans to enroll at a junior college and hopes to return to UCLA next year.
