The first round of the 2011 NFL draft came and went Thursday without a Bruin among the 32 selections.

Linebacker Akeem Ayers was projected as a late first-round pick heading into Thursday, but didn’t hear his name called at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Ayers and safety Rahim Moore will likely be selected on Saturday during the second and third rounds. Kicker Kai Forbath is expected to be selected in one of the draft’s later rounds on Sunday.

UCLA hasn’t had a first-round pick since tight end Marcedes Lewis was selected at No. 28 overall in 2006.
