“I chose UCLA because it was a good distance from home ““ I’m from NorCal. I liked the environment, because there’s the city but it’s also suburb-y.”

“First, the cost ­”“ UCs are so much cheaper than other schools. Also, when I first visited, it was a beautiful day, and everyone was so happy. I wanted to come here because it was so alive and fun.”

“Its reputation in research. I’m a history major, and so much money here goes toward the library, which is stocked with archival resources and primary sources. Other colleges couldn’t boast the same.”

“You can go anywhere in the country and say you go to UCLA, and people will know what you mean. Also, (UCLA) blends academics with a lot of other activities and opportunities.”
