Facing the Ducks’ zone defense, UCLA struggled to hit shots, shooting only 35 percent from the field. Sophomore forwards Reeves Nelson and Tyler Honeycutt went a combined two-for-seven for only five points.
Only junior guard Malcolm Lee and Oregon’s Jay-R Strowbridge went into the locker room in double digits. Lee quietly amassed 11 points, while Strowbridge dumped in 10 of his own.
Strowbridge and Oregon standout forward Joevan Caetron combined for 18 of the Ducks 28 points.
The Ducks are 4-1 in their last five contests while the Bruins are riding a three-game winning streak.
