Student assaulted and robbed in the North Village

Around 1 a.m. Friday, a group of four men attacked a student and stole a cell phone near the 10900 block of Strathmore Drive, according to a university police statement.

The men are described as Hispanic, and one of them was about 5’6’‘ and was wearing a plaid shirt and red hat.

Police are investigating whether the attack is connected to an attempted robbery that took place on Levering Avenue earlier the same night. The suspects in that incident have been arrested, according to the statement.
