Police are looking for a man who grabbed a student by the front of her shirt and sports bra at the top of Drake Stadium on Jan. 6.
The suspect, wanted on charges of sexual battery, is described as an Asian man with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 25 years old, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, according to a university police statement.
The man, who has not been caught, allegedly approached the woman as she was leaving the Wooden Center around 9 p.m., and they had a conversation until they reached the top of Drake Stadium, said UCPD crime analyst Kristi Godines.
The woman complied when the man asked for a hug, then pushed him away when he tried to kiss her, according to the police report. She was able to get away without being harmed. The two people did not know each other, Godines said. The crime was not reported to police until Wednesday, she added.
Anyone with information about the incident should call UCPD, said spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein. “If (students) see suspicious people or if they feel insecure they should call us,” she said.
