Chew on this: Bibigo

Opening night at Bibigo restaurant proved to be a venture into unknown food territory for the likes of my palette. However, I soon discovered the appeal of Korean food and can say I’m the newest member of the fan club. With build-your-own dishes that allow for flavorful customization, Bibigo is Westwood’s latest quick-stop for Korean cuisine. Here’s a look at some of the savory selections that didn’t make the paper and see just how long it takes for your mouth to stop watering too. (Read more about Lauren’s experience at Bibigo here.)

Large-grained black pearl rice with teriyaki barbeque grilled chicken.

An assortment of pickled toppings, including kimchi.

Bibigo side entrees range from a japchae noodle dish, mandoo dumplings and my personal favorites ““ sweet & spicy chicken and pajeon seafood pancake, a crispy casserole-like dish comprised of a delicious melding of baked fish and vegetables.

Bibigo restaurant is located at 1091 Broxton Ave. in Westwood.
