Milton Knox, a rising redshirt sophomore for the UCLA football team, requested his release to transfer Wednesday, according to team spokesman Marc Dellins.
Knox has not said where he will transfer to, but he will have two years of eligibility remaining after he sits out the 2010 season. The running back was buried deep in the Bruins’ depth chart, behind Derrick Coleman and Johnathan Franklin. Knox, who aspires to play in the NFL, was unlikely to see much playing time in the near future, telling the L.A. Daily News his decision was a “business decision.”
