The Undergraduate Students Association Council is the official student government of UCLA’s undergraduate students. Council meetings are Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Kerckhoff 417 and are open to all students.

Officer Reports:
“¢bull; President Cinthia Flores’ office has been compiling documents regarding issues such as transparency and affordability to present to next year’s president.
“¢bull; Next week, the president will be providing the council with recommendations on how to prepare USAC for the upcoming year.
“¢bull; Tonight, writing workshops will be held in the Covel Commons South Bay Room to help students by providing them with one-on-one writing tips.
“¢bull; General Representative 1 Jason Tengco’s office is taking students to Griffith Observatory for free on May 27.
“¢bull; General Representative 1 is hosting an AB 540 Scholarship reception in conjunction with IDEAS at UCLA and the Bruin Resource Center to raise money for the scholarship on May 15.
“¢bull; General Representative 1’s office created a website, “UCLA Did You Know,” that compiles and centralizes facts about student life and encourages students to post facts in exchange for incentives such as gift cards.
“¢bull; Applications for scholarships for homeless students and students with financial pressures will be available in the next two weeks.
“¢bull; On May 3, there will be a marketing 101 workshop on sustainable publicity to encourage students to work with Photoshop.
“¢bull; During Week 8, a clothing drive will be held in the Student Activities Center.

“¢bull; As a result of the UC Haiti Summit, UCLA and UC Berkeley are spearheading the creation of a proposal to help the situation in Haiti.
“¢bull; Next week is Bruin Health Week, which will be featuring many events, including a blood drive on Wednesday and a movie premiere on Thursday at De Neve Auditorium at 7 p.m.
“¢bull; This Saturday, Promoting Individuality for the Arts will be bringing youth from local elementary and middle schools to hold a carnival and workshops on higher education.
