Women’s water polo takes both matches on road
The No. 4 Bruins were highly successful on their road trip this weekend, first snapping No. 7 Loyola Marymount’s 14-game win streak with an 8-4 win, then defeating No. 14 San Diego State, 7-5, just two days later.
Baseball takes two of three games at Oregon State
Sunday’s 8-2 win against Oregon State was the second in a row for No. 3 UCLA (25-3, 4-2) which also won Saturday in a 16-inning marathon after dropping Friday night’s opener to No. 17 Oregon State (20-8, 3-3).
Women’s tennis sweeps Arizona schools
The No. 8 Bruins notched two wins at home over the Arizona schools this weekend, blanking Arizona 7-0 Friday and edging No. 21 Arizona State 4-3 Saturday.
Men’s tennis loses to Arizona
The UCLA men’s tennis team lost to conference opponent Arizona for the first time in program history in Tucson, Ariz., on Sunday afternoon.
The No. 10 Bruins (13-6, 3-2 Pac-10) dropped the dual match to the No. 35 Wildcats (13-9, 2-4 Pac-10) by a final score of 4-3.
Women’s golf wins PING/ASU Invitational
It looked like Pac-10 rival Arizona State had the tournament all but won heading into the back nine of the PING/ASU Invitational on Sunday.
But a late surge from the UCLA women’s golf team, led by sophomore Stephanie Kono, stopped the Sun Devils and the Bruins won for the second time in back-to-back competitions.
