On Sept. 20, key figures in the television industry ““ from popular actors to the lesser-known writers, producers and directors ““ will gather at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live to honor notable accomplishments, as determined by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Within the audience, many former Bruins will be in attendance and some are nominated for big awards.

This marks Holland’s 8th directing nomination and his 11th Emmy nomination for his work on the shows “Malcolm in the Middle” and “The Larry Sanders Show.” Holland won in 1998 and 2000 for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for “The Larry Sanders Show” and Malcolm in the Middle,” respectively, and again in 2001 for “Malcolm in the Middle.”

Jorma Taccone
Graduated in 2000
Nominated for Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics for the digital short “Motherlover” and Outstanding Writing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Series both for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
These mark his second and third nominations, all for the same show, and he won in 2007 for Outstanding Music and Lyrics for the digital short “Dick in a Box.”
