The 15th annual Los Angeles Film Festival kicked off Thursday in Westwood Village and is scheduled to run until June 28. Out of the 4,600 films that were considered, the festival will screen more than 200, including shorts and music videos. The festival is known for its combination of large-scale premieres, such as this year’s “Public Enemies,” and its smaller independent film screenings with many of the filmmakers and actors in attendance.
Tickets are available for the majority of the screenings and can be purchased on the festival’s Web site, lafilmfest.com, over the phone at 866-345-6337, or in person at the Festival Ticket Center at 1038 Westwood Blvd.
