Commencement ceremonies taking place around campus will confer graduating students with bachelor’s, master’s and professional degrees. Commencement recognizes the academic success of students after the completion of their requirements.
More than 8,000 students are expected to attend graduation ceremonies on campus this year, according to Elizabeth Kivowitz, a UCLA spokesperson.
This year UCLA has scheduled 14 college and professional school ceremonies, 31 departmental graduations and seven graduation-related student celebrations.
