Breaking down a USAC meeting

Elections for the 13 student positions on the Undergraduate Students Association Council will begin fifth week of spring quarter. USAC is a governing body consisting of 13 elected students responsible for serving as a link between students and the administration.

USAC tasks include programming, allocating funding and running advocacy campaigns. This is an annual process that is complicated and can be confusing for many students.

Daily Bruin reporters have compiled a series of graphics to break down and simplify the process. This week, we break down a typical USAC meeting with a sample agenda and an explanation of each student position, as well as a representation of where the meetings are held. Meetings take place each Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Kerckhoff Hall 417 and are open to the public.
