UCLA-Washington, First Quarter

As one would expect, there are plenty of empty seats here at Husky Stadium.

Freshman Corey Harky catches six yard pass to convert a third down on UCLA’s first series. It seems like with each game, UCLA puts more and more of a burdent on its freshmen. First-year tailback Derrick Coleman started the game over Kahlil Bell.

Ryan Moya catches a big pass on third and short. UCLA has had a tough time finding Moya, but it seemed like they surprised Washington there. The pass went for 19 yards.

"Wildcat" direct snap to Kaflil Bell goes for a three-yard loss. Bell chose to not run behing pulling guard Darius Savage, but couldn’t reach the outside edge either.

Rosario’s first catch after returning for an ankle injury goes for a seven yard gain and a first down.

More freshmen… Derrick Coleman runs for a 19 yard touchdown to put UCLA up 7-0. Coleman’s brutal stiff-arm on a Washington cornerback opened an easy path to the endzone.

That 10 play, 80 yard drive was one of the best of the Bruins’ season. Washington’s weak defense is definitely a a factor, though.

Washington gains first down on an option play. The Huskies did not complete a pass on that series.

Still more running for Washington, and another first down.

UCLA stops the Huskies, and tailback Derrick Coleman comes back strong with a 13-yard gain to start the drive.

Darius Savage just rode into the locker room on a golf cart; Scott Glicksberg has replaced him at guard.

Washington gets the first big turnover of the game- an interception by trenton tuiasosopu- returned 44 yards to setup the Husky offense with excellent field position.

The option hurts UCLA again; tailback Brandon Johnson takes a pitch for an easy, seven yard touchdown. UCLA 7, Washington 7.

Great return from UCLA’s Terrence Austin sets up UCLA with decent field position at its own 31 yard line.
