Crime Log – April 4, 2008

BURGLARY
Two scope blades were removed from the Center for Health Sciences on March 13, with losses totaling $4,800.

Two computers and three monitors worth $2,750 were removed from the Public Affairs building between March 20 and March 21.

A purse was removed from the Center for Health Sciences between March 20 and March 21.

Video games and an XBox system were removed from the 10900 block of Roebling Avenue between March 21 and March 27, with losses totaling $1,500.

A lock was cut and a laptop was removed from Bunche Hall between March 22 and March 24, with losses totaling $200.

Between March 27 and March 29, unknown suspects pried open a window of a building on the 700 block of Levering Avenue and removed a keyboard, camera, and mixer collectively worth $2,000.

On April 1, a suspect entered through the kitchen door of an apartment on the 11000 block of Ophir Avenue and removed a laptop worth $3,500.

GRAND THEFT
A laptop worth $2,000 was discovered missing from Powell Library between March 17 and March 18.

On April 1 the suspect fled from a Wells Fargo on the 10900 block of Wilshire Boulevard with an estimated $700 or more of the victim’s money.

GRAND THEFT AUTO
A 2001 Toyota Tacoma was removed from the 400 block of Landfair Avenue between March 31 and April 1.

HIT AND RUN
A small bus struck a skateboarder on Kinross Avenue on April 2.

PETTY THEFT
A wallet was removed from Bruin Walk between March 13 and March 21, with losses totaling $20.

A cell phone worth $300 was removed from Sunset Canyon Recreation Center on March 18.

A wallet was removed from the Center for Health Sciences between March 21 and March 22, with a loss of $12.

A backpack was discovered missing from the Wooden Center on March 31, with a loss of $80.
