Both the number of reported assault and violent crime cases have decreased from last year, but police officials say theft continues to be the most common crime reported on campus. Several crimes that occurred throughout this past year follow:

The first of a series of three hot prowl incidents ““ an attempted burglary while the resident is at home ““ is reported near the intersection of Roebling and Levering avenues.
July 25, 2006
The first of a series of five prowler incidents is reported, including one in Weyburn Terrace.
September 29, 2006
Two people are reported to be brandishing a handgun inside a vehicle in De Neve Plaza.
November 15, 2006
University police use a Taser on a student in the Powell Library CLICC Computer Lab after the student was unable to produce a BruinCard during a random late night check.
December 31, 2006
Police arrest someone who allegedly posed as a UCLA student for burglary and illegally accessing university computers.
January 26, 2007
A patient threatens to shoot staff in the Morton Medical Building.
February 23, 2007
Someone throws a sandwich at another person and hits the rear of a vehicle with their hand, leaving a dent.
March 6, 2007
Someone is arrested in Bunche Hall after a dispute between a student and a teacher.
March 21, 2007
Ketchup and mustard worth an unknown amount are removed from the De Neve Commons dining hall.
March 30, 2007
Someone is arrested after running through Haines Hall wearing only underwear.
May 15, 2007
A female student allegedly has her head hit against a wall in the lobby of her apartment building on Kelton Avenue. A similar incident is reported about a week later.
May 16, 2007
Police shut down several blocks in North Village while investigating a report of a man carrying a rifle. After searching an apartment on Landfair Avenue, investigators discover it is in fact a crossbow.
