Even after a week off, the status of linebacker Justin London is
still questionable for Saturday’s game against the Aztecs. In
the past two weeks, after reaggravating a high-ankle sprain at
Washington, London has seen minimal practice time and said he
wasn’t sure if he could play. Dorrell said Thursday that at
the most, London’s responsibilities will be limited in hopes
of getting him healed completely to last for the rest of the
season. “We’re not forcing him to play; he wants to
play.” Dorrell said. “I’m doing the best I can to
keep him involved in the team, and he wants to be involved with
every minute of the team. He misses playing.”
INJURY NOTES: After suffering a strained
hamstring in practice earlier this week, receiver Tab Perry looks
ready to start, filling in for the injured Craig Bragg. While Perry
had a light load in Thursday’s practice, Dorrell said Perry
was better and ready for the start Saturday. With Bragg out, Perry
looks to have a prominent role in the Bruins offense and will see
his first start since 2002 after sitting out last season due to
academic ineligibility. Dorrell also gave an update on Tim
Warfield, who has sat out the season thus far with a fractured
tibia. While playing time is still two or three weeks away,
Warfield has begun running and is getting closer to being
ready.
